Appropriate Medical Devices

I tried to post this before, but I think I didn't.

I am searching Organisations/Companies/Universities or Research Centres, that are currently developing Appropriate Medical Devices for low-income settings.

Do you have suggestions of where to find this information? Does your organisation/company/university do these projects?

(preferably if the devices use renewable technologies to be powered)
