Hi all,
In an article in Social Science & Medicine, listed in another discussion in the community, Bila and Ergot (2009) discuss the gender asymmetry in attending HIV/AIDS clinics in Burkina Faso. In my study (an ethnographic study of a rural ART clinic in Malawi) I have heard fascinating observations regarding gender asymmetry in clinic attendance and adherence that came from the staff at the clinic (mostly the female nurses). I was wondering if any of the members have recorded such stories/narratives from providers explaining gender asymmetry in adherence or clinic attendance.
Best,
Anat
