Hello,
I am currently looking for documented experiences with involving HIV-positive people in HIV care and treatment programmes, especially in the long-term FU. It's no problem finding the (few) peer-reviewed publications, but my experience is that many field projects don't make it into scientific journals. I'd be grateful for any information, project documentation, reports etc on this topic.

Hi Katharina,

Did you get a hold of information from the Mombasa Adherence study in Kenya
if not I could provide you with relevant literature.

Thanks,

Jerry

Hi Katharina,
MSF website have couple of reports as well, but you might have to look
into websites of MSF countries, for example:

MSF South Africa, Belgium, Holland etc..
I looked quickly into MSF South Africa and found this report from Lusikisiki:
www.msf.org.za/docs/lusikisiki_final_report_2006.pdf

Also report from Malawi:
Increasing Access to ARV Care in Rural Malawi, 2003-2009

Hope this helps?

Best regards
ziad

Hello,
We started a very promising PLWHA support group in Liberia about 1.5 years ago (http://sghequity.org/positiveliving/Home.html). We recently got funding from Bristol Myers Squibb's Secure the Future Foundation which supports a number of similar organizations and works with them on, among other things, management and M&E.

We have not yet had a chance to document our program's work since data is still being collected, but if you google Secure the Future Foundation there might be some detail you can use there.

I have also contacted some colleagues elsewhere to see if they have useful suggestions.

Best wishes,
Peter

Thank you all very much for your replies!

Jerry: No, I didn't come across the Mombasa adherence study, would be very grateful if you could provide some details.

Ziad: thanks for this. Actually, I'm closely communicating with MSF Belgium about this and am familiar with experiences in Lusikisiki, Thyolo and Tete. Going beyond MSF is what I am trying to do now.
Peter: thanks for the information, the search idea and the link. Will check right now. I'm aware of the article by Wools-Kaloustian, cheers.
Best regards,
Katharina
