Survey of TB Treatment Practices and National Policies
PATH (www.path.org) is exploring the potential application of medication monitoring technologies to support TB treatment adherence. Our work to date includes researching the design options and system-fit of a range of technologies.
Medication monitoring technologies record data on when a patient takes medication. To be applied to TB treatment, medication monitoring technologies must be able to accommodate varying presentation formats and therapy regimens in order to be broadly applicable in this changing field. As this work moves forward, there is a need to ensure that any technology meet the diverse needs of these different scenarios. As a result, we are seeking input from global stakeholders and field implementers on national polices, the different packaging and treatment approaches in use as well as your needs and priorities related to medication monitoring technologies.
I would appreciate 30 minutes of your time to collect your input on this topic. The link below will take you to a simple online survey that will ask you questions about TB medication packaging, the policies and practices around DOTS in the region where you work, and your experience, if any, with TB medication monitoring technologies. I would appreciate your response no later than October 15th.
Once you click on the link below, the survey will automatically open up in a web browser window. To select your answer choices, click once on the button or box to the left and then click “Next” at the bottom of the page to advance through the survey. The survey software will automatically store your responses—there is no need to save. At the completion of the survey you will see a “Thank you” screen. Click “Done” at the bottom of the page and the browser window will automatically close.
