Training staff and parents on issues of adherence in children

Hi Anat,

Claude Mellins and I recently wrote a review article on this topic (abstract below). It's not a practical manual, but I think it provides a nice framework for considering the key issues. The issue focuses on ART, but has relevance for other chronic diseases. I'd be happy to send anyone a full copy of the article, if you can't access it through your institution.

More than 2 million children are infected with HIV globally. Pediatric antiretroviral therapy (ART) adherence is complex, and current levels are often suboptimal. As established treatment programs in developed settings struggle with chronic therapy and nascent treatment programs in resource-limited settings expand, the importance and challenges of good adherence to ART are becoming ever more clear.
