Conducting an audit of clinical care

Started by Martie Van der Walt on 25 May 2009

Dear All

Is there a tool available that can be used to audit the clinical care given to M/XDR-TB cases while in hospital? The aim is to look at cases failing treatment vs those who successfully completed therapy, assuming adherece was good, and differences in drug-resistance have been accounted for. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Thanks a lot!

Dear Martie--

I have seen tools of this sort and I believe that TB NET in Europe is in the process of developing a database with variables that could be of use to you. I will put you in touch with them.

Best,
D'Arcy
