Started by Zea Rahim on 09 Mar 2009
Dear everyone,
Greetings from Bangladesh!
I want to have the international guideline for the disposal of ZN stained
slides after microscopy.
I shall very much appreciate if any one of our community can share the
guideline with me.
With warm regards and best wishes.

Dear Zea,
I am again reffering you to the WHO guidelines "Laboratory services in tubculosis control", part 1:Organization and management, page 39 "Waste disposal". It is recommended there to break and burn/bury positive slides and wash and reuse negative ones. However in my country it is recommended to sterilize all slides, destroy positive ones after sterilization and use negative slides niot for ZN microscopy.

Dear Marina,
Thank you very much for kindly suggesting me the WHO guideline for disposal
of used slides. I am following it.
The moderator has informed that discussion individual level is forbidden at
this forum. Therefore, I could be benefited if you could send me an email in
my own email (zea1955@yahoo,com).
With warm regards and best wishes form Bangladesh.
