May Update on Xpert MTB/RIF roll-out activities

Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the WHO Stop TB Department’s Laboratories, Diagnostics and Drug Resistance unit, attached please find a May Update on Xpert MTB/RIF roll-out activities. This edition highlights the outcomes of the Xpert MTB/RIF Early Implementers meeting in Annecy, France (18-19 April), provides an update on global procurement through Q1 2012 and describes the initial results of the pilot validation panel scheme.
