This WHO report presents drug resistance data from 114 countries and updated information from 35 of them. The report addresses funding issues, laboratory capacity, HIV-TB co-infection, and includes case studies from Bangladesh, China, Ethiopia, Nepal, Romania, and South Africa. The report indicates that there has been slow progress, but that some successful efforts to control M/XDR-TB can be viewed with cautious optimism.
