HIV Prevention
Business Unusual - The Avahan Experience
Started by Aparajita Ramakrishnan on 25 May 2010
It's great to be in Boston, and we look forward to sharing our experience with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's India AIDS Initiative, Avahan - the experience of business unusual, scaling up HIV prevention among sex workers, men who have sex with men, injecting drug users and transgenders in India.
Prevention, especially in concentrated epidemics like India, continues to be the need of the hour, as recognized by the Indian National AIDS Control Program. We are proud partners of the national program and look forward to sharing our experience and challenges in scaling up HIV prevention in the Indian context.
