Started by Rebecca Weintraub, MD on 24 May 2010

We are looking for examples of how corporations included HIV prevention services into Occupational health programs. There seems to be a few highlighted by mining and construction companies, any leads would be of assistance.

Hi Rebecca,
The Aidstar "promising practices" database lists a couple of programs that you might want to take a look at. For example, it has several resources relating to Daimler Chrysler's experience in South Africa providing prevention, care, treatment and support in the workplace.

Perhaps others have experience in these types of programs?

One example from a different sector is Apparel Lesotho Alliance to Fight AIDS. The attached report is few years old, but nicely done. Their site: http://www.alafa.info/Pages/Default.asp
there are examples of other partnerships here http://www.gbcimpact.org/
And I also found some on http://www.pabcnetwork.org/
