I would like to draw your attention to yearly meeting of the Tuberculosis
Surveillance and Research Unit (TSRU) on 15-17 April 2009 in Seoul, Korea.


The themes at this TSRU meeting are:
1. Surveillance strengthening & intensified case finding*
2. Research and surveillance on infection control
3. TB control in prisons
4. Laboratory aspects of TB
Furthermore, a session with free presentations is scheduled.

You are invited to submit abstracts (on TB IC) for presentation before 31
December 2008 to .

The objective of TSRU is to discuss TB surveillance and research in all
aspects, so we also encourage submission of protocols or studies that are
not yet finalized that you would like to discuss.

TSRU has funding available to cover the costs for approximately 4
participants, a decision on funding will be made after a decision on
acceptance of abstracts has been made (31 January 2009).

The Scientific Committee (Ana Bierenbach, Hans Rieder, Felix Salaniponi and
Susan van den Hof) will prepare the final agenda of the meeting and inform
those having contributed abstracts before 31 January 2009. Participants
whose abstract is accepted will be requested to prepare a full paper for
the TSRU meeting book.

Guidelines for submitting abstracts and full papers for TSRU meeting 15 *
17 April 2009 in Seoul, Korea
1. Use Word.
2. Send the abstract and full paper by email.
3. Use single line space text, 12 point Times New Roman font
4. First mention title, authors and affiliations, and underline the
presenting author
5. Give full address including email of the presenting author
6. Use for abstract maximum 300 words, and for full papers maximum 2500
words and structure the text in background, methods, results and
conclusions (unless it is a protocol)
7. Abbreviations should be defined
8. In the full manuscripts save paper by composing 2 or more graphs or
tables on 1 page.
