Title: Intensive Certificate Course in Malaria Microscopy
The course seeks to build capacity on the fundamentals of malaria microscopy (including RDTs); introduce participants to Quality Assurance on malaria diagnosis and Malaria slide banking. It also aims to build and establish skills in differentiating Plasmodium species, detecting very low parasitaemia, quantifying malaria parasites and recognising artefacts that are commonly referred to as parasite. Management and leadership modules also included.
Eligibility: Applicants should be scientists/laboratory technicians from within and outside Africa involved in malaria diagnosis or national malaria control personnel etc.
