Nebulizer and ather useful machines in NCD

Started by Melino Ndayizigiye on 19 Jul 2012

I would like to share this information about how useful is a nebulizer for treatment of severe asthme in poor ressource settings with limited energy.
It is a portable machine, chargeable and it battery can stay for at leat 4 weeks(depending on how a patient use it) and it is easy for patients to use and it has very good outcome in term of improving severe asthma patient's conditions. It uses albuterol which is a very good medicine for asthma. Other small machines like glocose blood test machine, oxymeters are also very useful in poor ressource settings. If anyone knows other useful technologies like these, please share with us.
Thanks
Melino

In most remote areas in India, you have to work without electricity.Even if you have battery back up,how will you charge it?Inhalers are preferable.
