Dr Shanta Ghatak
Biggest need is in the industry . Thermal Power plants , cement
manufacturing , cotton generating belts and stone crushing belts .
Preliminary X rays and PFTs at the time of joining ( also hearing
tests are relevant)
and at an interval of 2,5,10 ,15 years has helped diagnoses of some 300 workers
Their medications have been adjusted according to their needs and
areas of work have also been changed so that these patients do not
suffer further.
This is my personal experience in an industrial hospital in Eastern India
