I need to complete additional continuing education hours for my nursing license (out of the U.S.) Any advice on global health continuing education opportunities?
This may not specifically fall under the category of global health, but it is relevant to health disparities: the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services offers 9 nursing CEUs for the completion of their online course in cultural and linguistic competency. It's free and takes about 3 hours to complete.
A few other suggestions include a handful of organizations offering several courses. Some require membership, others just require CEU fees. If you belong to a professional organization, you may be eligible for free CEUs through them. Also, your nursing specialty/certifying body may have specific requirements about what constitutes an eligible CEU provider. Good luck, and hope this helps! -Maggie
