Epidemiology of post-op infections in the developing world

Started by Jose Gomez-Marquez on 04 May 2010

I'm looking for information, particularly cost and burden, of post-op infection control in developing countries due to poor access sterilization equipment. Does anyone have any ideas on where to get this?

I've asked around and am not coming up with anything helpful, but am still trying. Have you contacted the folks at WHO working on the "Safe Surgery Saves Lives" campaign?

Likewise - I have spoken to our infection control team here and we have not come across anything along these lines. Will keep looking and get back if I find something.
