Elizabeth Glaser started a discussion "HRH databases" in the Global Health Nursing & Midwifery community.

Having been trying to find data to evaluate the impact of health care workforce policies on health systems strengthening in PEPFAR funded countries. Would prefer to focus specifically on nursing but the broader focus may yield more information. Elizabeth Glaser replied to "Advice on TB/Respiratory infection control in low resource outpatient settings" in the TB Infection Control community.

In Boston, I have done triage just as you have indicated, however, Dr Mehtar's assessment of this situation is quite correct. The staff and clients are almost all Zulus and the care is all in Isizulu. The patients walk from great distances to that day's clinic site for their monthly ARV refill and adherence counseling - the clinic sites are actual churches in very rural tribal communities- and clients usually arrive prior to the staff ...

Elizabeth Glaser started a discussion "Advice on TB/Respiratory infection control in low resource outpatient settings" in the TB Infection Control community.

Dear members, I am here in South Africa and have a few questions on basic advice about TB/Respiratory Infection control in Low resource outpatient settings. Do you think that having the clients sit outside the small clinic rather than inside would make any difference in reducing TB exposure? If you had five recommendations to make that would reduce the risk of nosocomial transmission in the outpatient setting but no access to buy equipment - just ...
