About: The Global Network of Researchers on HIV/AIDS in the Middle East and North Africa (GNR-MENA) is a network of researchers interested in the interdisciplinary study of HIV/AIDS. Its focus is on the manifestation of the disease and its epidemic nature in the Middle East and North Africa region.
GNR-MENA is based at Harvard Medical School and at the University of California in Los Angeles, with its business operations managed at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a hospital affiliate of Harvard Medical School. GNR-MENA has members worldwide, including researchers from Egypt, Lebanon, Iran, Palestine, Israel, Australia, South Africa, Geneva, Paris, and Boston. Its membership represents a diverse set of interests and disciplines that span anthropology, health behavior and education, medicine, history and epidemiology, to political science, public policy, social welfare and economics.
