About Jacky Fils
My name is Jacky Fils, I am originally from Haiti where I have lived until I was 18 years old. I traveled to Puerto Rico for my graduate and post-graduate education. I recently finished with my medical education and enrolled as a resident in general surgery. I just started with Partner's in Health Global Surgery as a research fellow, which I intend to do for 2 years.
I really want to be involved with the healthcare system delivered in Haiti, however I know very little about it. I have always been fascinated by the global health system, as I have seen many health brigades being organized in my hometown growing up. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to participate in one that we organized as a group during my MS3 year; it is an experience that I will always cherish.
My goal is to deliver the best care to my patients in the states as well as my country, Haiti. I also want to obtain an MPH while working with PIH as a research fellow.
