About: Global Action Foundation's (GAF) mission is to provide positive community change for Sierra Leone's amputated civilians through healthcare and social entrepreneurship.
GAF is a health-focused 501c3 non-profit. In 2008, GAF's sister organization Wellbody opened its first community clinic in Kono District, serving in over 4,000 patient visits, while educating over 45,000 women during our outreach program. In addition to war disabled communities, GAF's programs target communities in which high concentrations of malnourished children live.
GAF's vision for 2009 is to help the Kono communities prosper and to deliver high-quality, free healthcare through medium-sized agricultural enterprise and micro-finance.
