That's a very interesting topic that you are submitting here Peter. I agree that immunology is one of those subjects that are difficult to grasp on. With the immune suppression in pregnant and considering the length or duration, the intensity of the exposure, and the virulence of contaminating agent, I would tend to believe that for TB, less than 8 hours are enough for triggering screening in pregnant women. Hi All, just would like to comment on this sentence:"Asking people to start ART solely for public health benefits could impact their adherence to therapy in real-world settings, for example" that was mentioned by Mr. Krakower. I was wondering if starting people on ART earlier than waiting they are very sick to do so put them at higher risk of adherence problem? I am not sure of that, but maybe there is a higher risk. ...
