Marie, thanks for the brilliant summary of the event. The challenges that Dr. Mwangi-Powell highlighted ring true in my brief 9-month experience in Kenya, particularly the lack of education regarding pain assessment and treatment, fear amongst health care providers, and unreliable access to narcotics.
