Dr Mateus KAMBALE SAHANI is a Congolese (DRC) a medical doctor with work experience in clinical general practices and specifications in screening and treatment of cancer, TB and HIV/AIDS since 5 years. He has worked in DRC and Rwanda. Before and after his degree in medicine, he began charitable activities in tobacco control, cancer control and HIV/AIDS through our organization “AGIR ENSEMBLE” since 2001. Dr Mateus Kambale Sahani is involved in more international networking actions with Global Cancer Control Community, GLOBALink, Global Dialogue for Effective Stop Smoking, Stop TB Partnership, FCA, ATCA. He is currently the director of the Health Department of AGIR ENSEMBLE.

Mateus Kambale Sahani replied to "Endemic NCDs in Your Community" in the Endemic Non-Communicable Diseases community.
NCDs constitute a high public health priority and people are not aware that they are priority. There is no specific programs for monitoring of these diseases and this increase the prevalence and mortality. So awareness and government involvement are very important to tackle NCDs. Thank you for all your comment. I have time to give you more details for challenges in ARV treatment and TB detection and treatment in DRC. By now you have to know that many people infected by HIV in DRC don't have access to treatment, also the cure rate for TB in Goma city increased in 2009 from 85%-52% but no MDR-TB was been diagnised. I think that in these cases which didn't positively respond ...
