GAF is a health-focused 501c3 non-profit. In 2008, GAF's sister organization Wellbody opened its first community clinic in Kono District, serving in over 4,000 patient visits, while educating over 45,000 women during our outreach program. In addition to war disabled communities, GAF's programs target communities in which high concentrations of malnourished children live. GAF's vision for 2009 is to help the Kono communities prosper and to deliver high-quality, free healthcare through medium-sized agricultural enterprise and micro-finance.

Dear All, From our experience in working in Sierra Leone running a home-based care HIV program, providing incentives (like food packages) promotes adherence greatly. Most of the complains we receive from patient not adhering to treat is lack of food. Best regards Bailor

Thank you mary, This also a problem in Sierra Leones public health system. But what my Organization is piloting in one district right now is using community health workers to actually deliver the ARV to the homes of the Clients daily. Each CHW is assigned a maximum of 10 households ...
