Paul Robinson replied to "Position at mHealth Alliance" in the Health IT community.

Hello Leo: I'm very interested to apply for this position, but can you help me get to the right website link or e-mail address please. The web link I found in your e-mail message brought me to this page (GHDonline Discussion page). And I didn't find a career/job link on the mHealth Alliance web page. Thank you very much for your help. PR

Paul Robinson replied to "Text messaging intervention" in the MDR-TB Treatment & Prevention community.

Hello Sarah, Recently I came across an interesting article (see link below) on the use of SMS text messaging related to both TB and HIV/AIDS treatments. The work was done in Malawi, and important findings and lessons learned from this effort may be replicable elsewhere. The contact e-mail addresses for more details are also included in that article. Hope you find the article useful. Good wishes on your pilot study. Paul http://www.globalpulsejournal.com/pdfs/Mobiles%20in%20Malawi%20GP.pdf

Paul Robinson started a discussion "Gel to prevent HIV/AIDS" in the HIV Prevention community.

The World Health Organization and the United Nations AIDS agency are hailing reports of a breakthrough in the fight against the AIDS epidemic--a vaginal gel that uses the Anti-Retroviral Drug "Tenofovir" for reducing infection risks for women. The researchists in South Africa claimed this gel is groundbreaking prevention for HIV transmission in women, cutting the risk of infection rate by 50 percent.
