About Tom Nicholson
Tom Nicholson earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science with concentrations in Russian and Central Eurasian Studies at Indiana University-Bloomington in 2004. At Partners In Health (PIH), Tom was responsible for financial and programmatic coordination between Boston, Tomsk, and Moscow, and was the point person in Boston for MDR-TB trainings throughout Russia and the former Soviet Union from 2006 through 2009. Tom was a contributing author for the White Paper "Stemming the Tide of Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis: Major Barriers to Addressing the Growing Epidemic" for the Institute of Medicine, published by National Academies Press (2009). Currently, Tom serves as the Project Director of a grant to Brigham and Women's Hospital and PIH from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, spending time in Rwanda and Boston. In this role Tom directs implementation, capacity building, and research activities associated with the 5 year, $8.5m primary health care grant in both locations.

Dear Rhitam, Over the past several years, Partners In Health (PIH) has been running regional and international training courses designed for representatives from Russia/Former Soviet Union, sub-Saharan African countries, South America, South Asia (Pakistan), international consulting agencies, and NGOs.
