About: Research Excellence to Stop TB Resistance (RESIST-TB) is a new initiative to expand clinical trials for drug-resistant tuberculosis. It was formed in June 2008 during the Cambridge workshop on trials for drug-resistant TB with the goals of increasing awareness of the DR-TB problem; promoting the design and implementation of clinical trials to provide the tools needed to control and eliminate DR-TB; and ensuring implementation of these tools in all areas of the world affected by DR-TB. RESIST-TB includes committees focused on Prophylaxis, Treatment Shortening, Drug Efficacy, and Site Capacity Development, which encourage new members to join and participate. More information on RESIST-TB is available under the RESIST-TB topic of the Drug-Resistant TB community.
