As well as the talks from our invited speakers, there will be a series of interactive parallel sessions that will cover research into policy for urban planning and transport, urban health advocacy, healthy aging in cities, healthy life expectancy, public health teaching and training, mental health, environmental health and alcohol in the city.
We are also pleased to report that the International Society of Urban Health will sponsor the conference. The conference will be the headline Urban Health conference in 2012.
If you are a policy maker attending the conference, there is a parallel session designed just for you. It is entitled "Workshop F - From Indicators to Implementation" and it will demonstrate three products from the EURO-URHIS 2 project: web-based e-tools summarising UHI data for participating urban areas in the project, urban area health profiling and Health Impact Assessment (HIA) screening tools.
The utility of the UHI information will be demonstrated for HIA using case studies taken from the project and would be very pleased if you could attend to see HIA for health related policy making in action and give us your feedback on the approach we are taking.
To register for this Workshop, please visit http://www.urhis.eu/index.php?option=com_smartformer&formid=10<https://outloo...
We will also be hosting a Conference Soirée on Thursday 13th September- an evening of food, music and entertainment set against the elegant monastic backdrop of Het Bethaniënklooster in Central Amsterdam. Come and join the project team as we celebrate the huge leaps in urban health research in Europe and Globally, with our esteemed guests and speakers.
There are only a limited number of free places available for the conference. If you do wish to attend, please register at http://www.eventure-online.com/eventure/welcome.do?type=participant&congress=....
