How can we improve the provision of high quality care?     Join the Quality & Safety Community

Dear NCDFREE family (because as supporters, that's what you've become!),

First of all, thank you to you all for your wonderful support on the NCDFREE campaign. What a success and we are all very excited – including our NCD change-makers from around the globe!

As of today, we have raised over US$60,000 (in 45 days) in donations and support from around the world – making NCDFREE a reality and a truly GLOBAL campaign!

With the money raised and the enormous network of partners on board, we are now excited to begin filming and arrangements for our global launches. Much to organise but an exciting time and we are inspired by your generosity and commitment in standing with us calling for further meaningful and urgent action on NCDs.

Next month, Giuseppe and I will go to Mongolia and begin filming the incredible and inspiring story of Byambaa - a young, local physician who has been inspired by the growing burden of heart disease to become a cardiologist and help her nation.

In addition, we have just launched an exciting new collaboration with WHO Europe, crowd-sourcing video from young Europeans from Uzbekistan to the UK, with which we will make a call to action film for the July Ministerial Meeting in Vienna. Two of our NCDFREE supporters will actually get the chance to join me in Vienna and make this call – thanks to WHO!

In August, we film in Ghana to capture the spirit, drive and leadership of Emmanuel – the young and newly appointed inaugural NCD coordinator for north-east Ghana!

Finally, the launch preparations are coming together also and some exciting developments! The Melbourne Convention and Entertainment Centre has donated a space (for between 500-1500 people!!) and the Harvard Global Equity Initiative have a sleek and modern Harvard venue lined up for Boston. Speakers are almost finalised and all 12 are sensational, inspiring and true examples of NCD change-makers!

So with a lot happening, we again thank you for making all this possible! Please join us on twitter<> (@ncdfree) and Facebook<> if you haven't already!

Otherwise stay tuned and stand by for more from Giuseppe, Abigail, Fred, Benn, Jo and I! Including live updates from Mongolia and Ghana!

Thanks and warmest regards,
