The Florence International Training Course – the “FIT” Course,
THE NEW POLICY FOR HEALTH IN EUROPE
Improving Health for All and Reducing Health Inequities
11-16 November 2012 – Florence, ITALY
 
This course will provide you with some information about the capacity building activities being led by the Region of Tuscany (Italy) in collaboration with the WHO European Office for Investment for Health and Development in Venice.
 
The 2012 edition of the 'FIT' course supports the three main aims of the new WHO European health policy - Health 2020: Improving health for all; reducing health inequities, and strengthening governance for health.
 
The course is built around 5 modules:
1. social determinants of health and health inequities;
2. prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs);
3. the lifecycle approach: from early life to healthy ageing;
4. health and migration;
5. health systems planning.
 
Please note that this course is designed for young health professionals 35 years or under and there are 10 bursaries being offered.
