I think that also profilaxis of latent tuberculosis and the treatment of
close contacts of indice case MDR is also as importanr thema

Of course, I plan to contribute. I have written several book chapters on
TB Transmission control recently and selected excerpts of author drafts
from those will cover several of your topics. If the focus is really
Transmission control, extrapulmonary TB is a curious topic, as is pediatric
TB - although both topics deserve some discussion - perhaps in the context
of the other topics.

Missing is the rapid impact of treatment on transmission and environmental
controls - incredibly important in India today.

I'm proud to hear from you again. I'll be anxious to read this topics as
they are published. Here in Argentina we are facing an increase in the TB
incidence accompanying a new economic crisis...

Good morning Dr Nardell
You are so right about pediatric TB. This is what I always tell the young pediatricians here about not needing to isolate young children with TB.
However we need to remember their parents who come with them. One is a possible active case. So often time we give them a mask until we finish their investigation to clear if they can have positive sputum for MTb.
