Announcing the set of newborn resuscitation videos

By deborah van dyke | 21 Aug, 2019

We are delighted to announce the release of a suite of videos supporting the practice of newborn resuscitation. These videos reflect the latest Helping Babies Breathe (HBB) guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics.

* Helping Babies Breathe at Birth (bit.ly/HBB20): This video uses live footage to demonstrate the key steps in resuscitating a newborn following the HBB guidelines.
* Teaching Points for Newborn Resuscitation (bit.ly/HBB-11): This video demonstrates eleven key teaching points to improve a trainee’s practical knowledge of the steps of basic newborn resuscitation.
* Helping Babies Breathe with a Training Doll (bit.ly/HBB-doll): This video shows the basic steps of newborn resuscitation using a training doll.
* Cleaning Resuscitation Equipment (bit.ly/HBB-clean): This video shows the key steps of cleaning resuscitation equipment to make it safe for the next baby. Four additional videos each focus on a single method: autoclave, boiling, steam, and chemical disinfection.

You can view and download the videos from our website: https://globalhealthmedia.org/videos/newborn/. Narrations in Spanish, French, and Telugu will be available soon.

Thanks and kind regards,

Deb

Thank you for sharing!
The video is wonderfully simplified, and because of it's 'real-time' setting, it is very effective for visual learners.

Many thanks for all you do to promote life saving infant care. I have
forwarded all to my colleagues in rural Tanzania, where they have a newly
established NICU.
