Jeanne Leffers, PhD, RN, FAAN is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth College of Nursing. Her global health work includes teaching, research and service in the US, Haiti and Uganda among other countries. She served as Chair of the Nursing Education Steering Committee and as Program Director for Uganda for Health Volunteers Overseas. In addition she served on the Executive and Advisory Boards of the Global Nursing Caucus. She is an author/editor of the books Volunteering at Home and Abroad: The Essential Guide for Nursing (Leffers & Plotnick, 2011), Global Health Nursing: Building and Sustaining Partnerships (Upvall & Leffers, 2014), and manuscripts Conceptual Model for Partnership and Sustainability in Global Health (Leffers & Mitchell, 2011) and Ethical Principles and Guidelines for Global Health Nursing Practice (McDermott-Levy, Leffers, & Makayla, 2018).
