Robert Marten joined the Rockefeller Foundation in 2010. As an Associate, Mr. Marten works on the Transforming Health Systems (THS) initiative and on the Climate Smart Rural Development for Africa exploration. He is also involved in some exploratory work around obesity.
Prior to joining the Rockefeller Foundation, Mr. Marten worked as a consultant with the World Bank, the World Health Organization and German Technical Cooperation in Zambia and South Africa. He also worked as a researcher at the Global Public Policy Institute in Germany and served as a United Nations Volunteer on HIV/AIDS in Vietnam.
Mr. Marten received a bachelor’s degree from McGill University, a master’s degree in public policy from the Hertie School of Governance and is completing a master’s degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University.
