On Tuesday, May 3rd, 12:30pm to 2:00pm CET, Executive Director Jordan Jarvis will present in an exciting webinar hosted by WHO titled, "Young Engagement with Noncommunicable Diseases."
In an address to a meeting on NCDs last year, WHO Director-General advised to "never underestimate the power of civil society and public opinion." In this regard, young people can offer both valuable solutions to the issues and leverage their power in numbers to hold governments accountable; nearly one-third of the world is under 25 years old. Regardless of your level of expertise, join this event to hear how young people can help tackle the huge issue of noncommunicable diseases in meaningful ways.
Executive Director Jordan Jarvis is a keynote speaker at the webinar. She will address a number of key questions, like the role youth organizations and young people have to play in tackling NCDs and how WHO and other organizations can support young people in engaging with these issues.
Email if you would like to register to participate online. There will be opportunities for online participants to ask virtual questions during the keynotes, and a Q&A session will follow to collect young people's inputs for the WHO NCD Global Communications Campaign.
